As the much-anticipated Christmas Day approaches, fans and players alike are well aware of the rivalry that has intensified between the Suns and Mavericks over the past few years. This sets the stage for an action-packed game.

Whenever Devin Booker and Luka Doncic share the court, sparks are bound to fly. This intense dynamic began during the 2022 Western Conference Semifinals when the Mavericks triumphed over the Suns in Game 7.

The contentious feud between the two was displayed for all to see on March 5th of the previous season. In a thrilling encounter, the Suns secured a narrow 130-126 victory over Dallas, led by Devin Booker’s impressive 36-point performance. Luka also put on a show, contributing 34 points. However, their competitive spirits ignited an argument during the second half, which required their teammates to intervene.

The ongoing rivalry between Luka and Booker reached its culmination in their first-ever face-off. But interestingly, when questioned about their relationship, both players now express a much friendlier demeanor. This suggests a mutual respect between them.

Booker shared his sentiments on Sunday, stating, “Me and Luka’s respect for each other has been mutual and at a high level ever since he entered the league.” The Suns and Mavericks will rekindle their rivalry on Christmas Day, promising captivating moments on the court. The game will kick off at 8:30 PM in the electrifying atmosphere of the Footprint Center.
