Earlier this month, she expressed her enthusiasm for the chance to showcase a collection of exquisite outfits while at the Cannes Film Festival. And Emma Watson certainly made a stylish statement on Thursday when she arrived at The Bling Ring photocall wearing a stunning ensemble designed by Christopher Kane. The 23-year-old actress flaunted a hint of her midriff in a matching crop top and knee-length skirt, adorned with feather detailing along the hem.

This particular look is more conservative compared to Emma’s recent fashion choices, featuring a longer skirt and a high-necked top. The maroon color of her outfit complemented her fair English complexion, and she added a touch of sophistication with black suede high heels. Emma completed her look by styling her brunette hair in a loose bun.

Keeping her makeup simple, Emma opted for minimal mascara and lip gloss as she posed for photographers. She maintained bold eyebrows reminiscent of Cara Delevingne’s iconic style and seemed unfazed by the gloomy weather, smiling broadly for the waiting photographers. Earlier in the day, Emma was spotted wearing a beige trench coat over her dress as she made her way to the photocall.

With her entourage in tow, Emma made quite the spectacle as she strolled along, garnering the attention of all those around her. Clearly amused by an undisclosed joke, she couldn’t contain her laughter and let out a scream of amusement. This lively scene took place during the film photocall, where Emma posed alongside director Sofia Coppola and co-stars Katie Chang, Taissa Fariga, Israel Broussard, and Claire Julien. The photocall served as a precursor to the film’s screening scheduled for Thursday night. In this new movie, Emma’s character couldn’t be further from her famous role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. She portrays Nicki, a pole-dancing thief who is part of a notorious gang that targets celebrities.
When asked about her role, Emma expressed, “I didn’t feel the need to distance myself from Hermione. That mindset seems negative, focusing on getting away from something instead of moving towards something. What I’m pursuing is the opportunity to be a versatile actress. I want to inhabit different characters and transform myself through my roles. Nicki appeared to be the perfect chance to do just that.” Emma’s performance in the film has already garnered praise, with early reviews commending her for breaking away from the Hermione mold.

The review from Variety states that while it may not have the star-studded cast and intentionally unconventional style of another recent film about wild girls, Spring Breakers, this lively and captivating movie is sure to appeal to its sought-after hipster audience. Coppola, known for her skill in directing young actors, brings out exceptional performances from her predominantly inexperienced cast, with Watson particularly enjoying the opportunity to break away from her wholesome Harry Potter image.
